Thank you for your interest in our services. It is my belief that we can provide you with the most reliable, professional exercise equipment repair services available. Since we don't sell equipment, our only focus is service and repair. The following outline is intended to give you an idea of who we are.
Ed Tokarz started Intermountain Gym Repair (IGR) in 1987 from his home basement. In 1994, IGR moved into the current location with 3500 square feet of shop and office space to provide walk-in repairs and parts sales, as well as a dispatch center for sending technicians out on jobs. IGR services a 300 mile radius from the shop in Sandy, and can sometimes go even further. At the present time, IGR has four technicians (with two more being added this fall), an office manager/dispatcher, and a bookkeeper.
At IGR we firmly believe in thorough on-the-job training as well as factory certification. We spend a lot of time and money to ensure the technician is properly trained to do the job right the first time. Our technicians drive marked company vans and wear the company logo on their uniform. They each have a cell phone to ensure timely communication with the customer as well as our office. They are required to present their business card at the door, maintain a clean and orderly work environment, leave the repaired equipment sparkling clean, and thoroughly explain the nature of the repairs. Our office manager makes a follow-up phone call within a few days to make sure the equipment is working properly, and the customer is happy with our work.
At IGR our goal is 24-48 hour turnaround time on all repairs within 60 miles of our shop. In keeping with this goal, we maintain a large inventory of spare parts to minimize down time. We currently stock over a million dollars worth of spare parts, and are constantly adding to our inventory as we establish a need for specific parts.
Though we've never had to use it in our 17 years of business, IGR has complete liability insurance coverage. We can include customers as well as equipment manufacturers on our policy as an "also insured" certificate holder to minimize your liability.
As you can see, we take our work very seriously and are committed to the highest quality, fastest service you'll find anywhere. We would be happy to provide you with as many customer and vendor references as you'd like. In the end however, it's our service which speaks for itself.
